Diner en Blanc, the chicest en masse picnic in Melbourne’s social events calendar, was held yesterday at Waterfront City, Docklands. Guests are told of the location in the last minute and a mandatory dress code of all white applies. This policy makes for one glamorous evening under the stars filled with gastronomic delights, free-flowing beverages and live music to boogie the night away.

Just on visual estimates alone, this year’s event was much larger than last year’s. Hundreds of men and women in crisp white formed one breathtaking panorama. On the fashion side of things, the overriding trend for women was lace and for men, relaxed linen. Here are my favourite looks that I captured on the night, as well as a few key moments during the evening.
