What to do when you can’t decide on which suit colour to go with? Wear them both! Mix it up! That’s the beauty in men’s suiting, each piece can be worn as separates and paired with another. This not only allows you to create new looks, but doubles your wardrobe options in the same process! Just ensure the perfect fit, cohesion in texture, utilise complementary tones and the rest is up to your imagination.
Today’s examples showcase two-tone suiting done at its best. In one pairing, I love how the classic double-breasted blazer in navy, is offset with cobalt blue trousers. The choice of a striped t-shirt gives this look a touch of informality and the red polka dot pocket square gives an added point of interest, it’s all in the detail. In the second example, I equally love the pairing of the cerulean blue blazer with the pale azure trousers. To finish it off, the look is anchored strongly by those brown loafers.
