If the thought of lace dresses gives you matronly or mother of the bride vibes, then you may want to reconsider. In the last couple of years, a new generation of coloured lace dresses have dominated the catwalk and red carpet, and they are far from being introverted wallflowers. No longer drab, lace dresses now come in various colours, from pastels to neon and everything in between. There’s a hue to cater for each whim.

Today’s examples show acidic yellow and soft pastel blue options. Tanja Gacic, of myempiricallife.com, demonstrates how to work a neon yellow lace A-line shift. I particularly like the use of a contrast belt to add an extra element of pop.
