The way I see it, kids clothes can either go too kitsch or awkwardly age inappropriate. Like the way we dress ourselves, it takes some effort and thought to dress children in a way that is stylish, age appropriate and kid-friendly. After all, kids will be kids and their last priority is to keep their apparel in pristine condition. I like seeing kids dressed up as kids, there’s no easier way of doing this than by utilising colour. From bold, primary or pastel shades, there are a myriad of options available in children’s wear. The challenge will be in creating combinations that work, refer to my previous post on how to use colour for some useful tips.
Introducing Florence, my gorgeous little niece. Like any proud parent, I too am a very proud uncle. And how could you not be? Just look at her, cute as button with oodles of style. Her printed bohemian jacket, pastel blue trousers and leopard print sneakers just screams fun! The outfit is perfect for a special day out and won’t restrict her from moving about. There will be plenty more to come from this little one! I look forward to documenting her style in the years to come.
