Leather pants used to be the domain of bikers and rock stars. It wasn’t that long ago when finding a great pair was an arduous task. Now every designer and high street label produce their own versions. From loose fit to skinny leg, the options are extensive. It’s just a matter of figuring out what works best with your body type and personal style. Leather has the power to transform your look; it adds instant edge and attitude to your overall guise. This is probably why a lot of women are intimidated by it. If you’re concerned that leather pants will make you look like Sandy post makeover in Grease, you can always pair it with an oversized knit and ballet flats to dilute its edge.
The lady picture in today’s post, who I photographed in Brisbane during the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival, certainly knows how to rock a leather pant. I love how she’s teamed her pants with a flirty peplum jacket, Celine tee, pointed toe heels and a playful bowler hat. Her fashion choices are brave and unexpected, fashion is supposed to be fun after all!
