her ensemble: jersey girl

JerseyDress
According to Anna Dello Russo’s Fashion Shower, “Fashion is always uncomfortable. If you feel comfortable, you’ll never get the look”. I beg to differ. Fashion and comfort needn’t be mutually exclusive. I’m certainly guilty of filling my wardrobe with unpractical statement pieces to get ‘the look’, rather than focusing on comfort and function. But I’m finding that as I get older, I’m skewing more towards classic pieces that are practical. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying we should all retire to cotton tracksuits and give up on fashion altogether!

There’s a fine balance between style and comfort. I believe the subject of today’s post has met the criteria. When I saw this girl walk past me, the simplicity of her outfit immediately grabbed my attention. She looked so comfortable in her jersey t-shirt dress and Converse sneakers. Her look is effortless, a great example of casual cool, perfect for off-duty weekends. It just proves that it is possible to look good and be comfortable.
